nacidos para correr

Siempre me llamó la atención que en un disco titulado "nacidos para correr" (que no "nacido...", como piensan muchos) Bruce hubiera elegido para la portada una foto en la que sale apoyado; pero es que está apoyado en Clarence Clemons, que podría cargárselo a la espalda y salir pitando practicamente sin esfuerzo, y no solo físicamente hablando. Bruce lo sabía, claro, y en una de sus canciones explicaba que las bellezas empezaron a aplaudir a la banda cuando llegó Big Man. Fue una beca deportiva la que le llevó desde Virginia a New Jersey, pero si ya le había costado decidirse entre la música y el deporte, una vez que conoció al Jefe ya no dudó, acertó.

El poderío de Bruce en directo hizo que tardara en echar de menos a la E Street Band la primera de las tres veces que le vi(mos) en directo, pero ese momento llegó, fue cuando atacaron Born To Run, una de mis canciones favoritas de todos los tiempos; sin el solo de Clarence esa canción pierde su intención de "deporte de equipo", aunque el de Bruce hace que parezca que la guitarra esté galopando.

Ha sido un placer verles correr, seguramente porque nunca han tenido la sensación de haber llegado a la meta. GRACIAS
